Queensland Branch Manager - Events

Key responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you will play a key part in driving Queensland Branch operations, ensuring efficient and effective processes across all areas. You will manage general enquiries, office bookings, and support branch personnel in delivering ABA’s essential services to members and the public.

Your attention to detail and efficiency will be key in managing emails, phone calls, and mail distribution, as well as administering branch group projects. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating events, including expos and conferences, ensuring ABA’s presence is well-organised and impactful. From liaising with venues to rostering volunteers and managing resources, you will ensure seamless event execution.

Additionally, you will oversee essential administrative functions, including financial record-keeping, coordinating breastfeeding education classes, and maintaining branch procedures. Your role will also involve supporting volunteers, processing branch income, and assisting with special projects that further ABA’s mission.

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience in event coordination – from planning to execution, ensuring seamless logistics and volunteer management.

  • Exceptional communication skills – confident handling phone and email enquiries with professionalism and courtesy.

  • Strong administrative and organisational abilities – managing office operations, correspondence, and financial records with accuracy.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills – ensuring efficiency in daily tasks and record-keeping.

  • A proactive and self-motivated approach – able to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

This part-time role (10 hours per week) is a 9-month parental leave cover position, classified as SCHADS Level 3.1, with an hourly rate of $37.35, excluding superannuation.

As an employee of a charity holding DGR status, you are able to salary package up to $18,550 each Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) year.

The successful applicant will commence on 15 May 2025, with a two-week training period alongside the current Branch Manager. This role requires on-site work from the Brisbane office and is not suitable for remote work.
