Paul Ramsay Foundation has been accredited as a Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace since August 2023.
Paul Ramsay Foundation (PRF) is one of Australia’s largest philanthropic organisations.
The late Paul Ramsay AO established the Foundation in his name in 2006 and, after his death in 2014, left most of his estate to continue his philanthropy for generations to come.
PRF’s purpose is to help end cycles of disadvantage in Australia by creating opportunities for people and communities to thrive. It invests in and partners with organisations and communities across Australia, builds the capability of organisations and the for-purpose sector, and aims to positively influence policy and outcomes through collaboration and advocacy.
In 2023 PRF embarked on the journey to become accredited as a breastfeeding-friendly workplace because of its deep commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and empathetic work environment for all its employees. This is reflective of PRF’s values and culture with its dedication to social responsibility, diversity and inclusion, employee well-being, and optimised recruitment and retention.
The motivation behind PRF’s decision to become a breastfeeding-friendly workplace lies in recognising the importance of accommodating the needs of employees who are breastfeeding mothers. This acknowledgement stems from a broader understanding of the challenges that working mothers face when juggling their professional roles and caregiving responsibilities and, at the same time, signifies that PRF is committed to implementing policies, practices, and facilities that place high value on the well-being of its employees. PRF is committed to a work culture where employees feel valued not only for their professional contributions but also as individuals with personal and family-related responsibilities.
To support an inclusive work environment, PRF offers many benefits to integrate work and life balance.
