LiveChat Coordinator

Join the Breastfeeding Helpline Services team in this volunteer role, coordinating the national roster and supporting the counsellors and educators who staff ABA's LiveChat service.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate the monthly LiveChat roster, support the volunteers who give their time to the service and collate feedback from volunteers to ensure continuing improvement. Full support and training is provided with direct contact to the Helpline Services team and through an annual training and support residential.

Time commitment

  •  4 to 6 hours per week (varies from week to week)

Requirements of the role

Essential

  • Current Trainee, Breastfeeding Educator or Breastfeeding Counsellor
  • Agree to abide by ABA’s Code of Ethics and policies
  • Compliance with ABA WHS requirements

Skills and experience

  • Demonstrated experience in working positively with volunteers.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and be well organised.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to regular participation on the LiveChat roster.
  • Strong commitment to a team approach and ability to work as a member of a collaborative team.
  • Some computer skills including ability to access and use the internet on a daily basis.

This remote volunteering role can be performed anywhere in Australia.
