There are many reasons why a mother may want or need to express breastmilk. Perhaps you have a baby in NICU or who is very sleepy at the breast and needs to be given some extra top ups of milk after breastfeeds. Maybe you are returning to work, or will be attending a function without your baby. 

Many mothers find that expressing milk is not as simple as they expected. 

Join us as we discuss:

-What sort of pump might suit your needs best

-How to store breastmilk 

-How to clean your pumping equipment

Connect & Share sessions involve getting together to participate in a facilitated group chat on a particular topic. After a general welcome and introduction we will have around 15-20 minutes of formal discussion on the chosen topic, followed by informal social time and individual support with a breastfeeding counsellor.  For attendees wanting to find out more on the topic, the facilitator will direct them to supporting ABA resources.

Participants are encouraged to share experiences, ask questions, and provide input.

This is a very relaxed meet up – it’s fine if you come late/leave early – we know what it’s like to be operating on baby time! Partners, expectant parents, friends, and children are welcome.

Same building as the library. Best entry for program room 3 is via the side glass door (where all the windows are at the side of the building), program room 3 is immediately on your right hand side as you enter.
