When we think of the festive season as parents, we think of holidays, family get-togethers, travelling, hot weather, parties, the beach. And when we have a baby, there’s a bit of extra planning involved with all of these. Today we are going to share some information and ideas about managing breastfeeding - in hot weather, when travelling, when visiting people, when celebrating, what to do about alcohol and coping with unwanted advice!
We are not locked into this topic and can chat freely about any breastfeeding challenges you might be facing, or simply catch up about being parents. There will be Breastfeeding Counsellors present if you have any questions, and it's a good opportunity to catch up with other parents in a breastfeeding-supportive environment.
Location: Rolling Hills Playgroup, 54-56 Landscape Drive Mooroolbark.
Children and babies are always welcome at our meetings and we have a fully fenced outdoor playground available for them to play in or a temperature controlled room inside.
Please RSVP so our volunteers know whether the session is able to go ahead.
You are welcome to join us at any time during the meeting. Come for 15 minutes or 1.5 hours, whatever works for you.
There will be a QR code check-in for us to keep track of attendance.
If you cannot attend an in-person meeting, there are some online events. Please check the ABA calendar at https://www.breastfeeding.asn.au/calendar search by ‘online’ and click ‘reset’.
Remember, if you need to talk to a Breastfeeding Counsellor, the Breastfeeding Helpline operates 24 hours a day, every day of the year on 1800 686 268
