The early weeks with a new baby can be overwhelming, and breastfeeding is just one of many new experiences that you and baby will be thrown into together (how to get a flailing baby arm into a tiny onesie armhole, anyone?). So many questions and concerns can arise. How do I know if my baby is getting enough milk? My breasts are swollen and sore, what can I do? Is the colour of this poo normal? Good information and support will help you in these early weeks and months as you both work out what you’re doing. Join us on Wednesday for a conversation with other mums, solutions for common challenges and information about how to manage those early weeks.

Everyone is welcome, whether you are breastfeeding, bottle-feeding or a bit of both. Soon-to-be mums are also welcome, of course!

There will be a qualified breastfeeding counsellor there to answer any breastfeeding questions you have, or just come along to meet other mums and have a chat while your children play.

Older children are welcome to come along too - there is a playground next to the meeting room and we'll have some colouring and toys if the weather isn't great.

BYO reusable cup and snacks for your children (no nuts please). We'll provide hot drinks and morning tea.

Feel free to come and go as you need. We'll be there by 9.30am but if you're not able to get there until a little later, or leave earlier, that's fine!
