'Does he sleep well?' must be one of the questions most often heard by the mother of a new baby. A baby who sleeps long and often is said to be a 'good' baby. Therefore, he must have a 'good' mother. What if your baby doesn't sleep as well as you expected? It seems that everyone has advice about how to get your baby to sleep and once they are asleep, how to keep them asleep! Many books and many sleep programs later, and parents are still wondering why their baby doesn’t cooperate with the suggestions. Yet wakefulness is a completely normal means of survival, babies wake naturally to make sure they get enough food to grow! Join us on Wednesday for some information and tips about breastfeeding and sleep.

Everyone is welcome, whether you are breastfeeding, bottle-feeding or a bit of both.

There will be a qualified breastfeeding counsellor there to answer any breastfeeding questions you have, or just come along to meet other mums and have a chat while your children play.

Older children are welcome to come along too - there is a playground next to the meeting room and we'll have some colouring and toys if the weather isn't great.

BYO reusable cup and snacks for your children (no nuts please). We'll provide hot drinks and morning tea.

Feel free to come and go as you need. We'll be there by 9.30am but if you're not able to get there until a little later, or leave earlier, that's fine!
